either the 56" ford f150 or chevies work really well without being stupid long like the 63's

what do you have to do to make the 56' f150's fit. and how much lift do they give?

new spring hangers and probably relocate the shackles as well depending on where you want to center the axles and how long of a shackle you want.

No idea on the lift they give, but with one leaf removed they match my hybrid rears up front pack quite nicely.

Chevy also make s 56" spring out of the fullsize blazer's I believe. They're very flexy as well, and again probably need new mounts, and not sure on the lift.

I thought chevy made a 56" as well. Guess I'm wrong. So 52" chevy & 56" ford f150.

Big Ern did you pull the leaf to match your height or for flex? I'm looking to put something flexier in my yota.

Ive been running the 53" chev's in the rear,(out of either S10 pick-up or blazer-early 90's) the ride is great, and they flex well, they are fairly flat allowing a full cycle of the suspention. i know a few guys that run them and like the way they work.. they're pretty much the same as the ranger's but i don't think the rengers can handle as much wieght. they appear to sag a little over time.

i took a leaf out of the F150 pack to drop the hieght a bit to match the front -- I'm sure it also helped it flex better, but that wasn't my main concern. Although i might add it back in for long trips where i need to carry a bigger load.
