Just Finally got my frount drive shaft cut and made longer, bolted it it last night all ready to go for a rip. Locked in the hubs Put it in 4wd and went for a cruze atoung the block.. Goin straight and taking mellow corners it is fine,,, but when the wheel is turned all the way to the lock it sounds like it binds real bad and the tire hops n churps. IS this because im driving on dry pavement? Don't wanna hit the trail and break new parts? Any ideas. thanx for yer time.

i know the rear is open for sure, and unless a previous owner locked the frount and not the rear. I used to run it stock and little allseasons. then put in a fairly large lift and 33's , since i last had 4wd working i have replaced the tranny and transfer case. But i don't see how that should affect this cuz the truck runs fine in a straigh line. The only other thing is that i do not run a swaybar but i do not see that being a issue either.

Guess im just gunna have to take it out on the dirt to night and try it out.

Frustrating thou.

you dont want to have it in 4x4 on dry pavement , and to check it out unlock your hubs and see if it still does it [cheers]

the better ur 4x4 works the more she hops and scrubs

Mine did that but because my nipple ont he leafs broke so they moved around and caused the driveshaft to bundle u on a bell guard and lcoked the tirs up.

locked or not, dont make tight turns with hubs locked on dry pavement.... unless you like fixing broken parts
