a friend of mine bought the motor mounts from lordco to swap a 5.0 in to his 2wheeldrive ranger, does anybody know what the best auto tranny would be to use and the best rad without spending huge money? he has a carburated 302,and has the 8.8 out of an explorer,is this swap pretty straight forward?

the aod tranny from certain years on the exploder were troublesome........i believe we're on the 3rd tranny in one of the co. trucks........and ive changed a few for customers in the last yr.............not to scare you off....just a heads up !
at the very minimum i think if yer wheelin the truck ,with all the extra heat from the 5.0 , you shaould have a large aux. tranny cooler

c-4 or a well built aod, aka Lentech AOD, where you get the benefits of the aod and the strength of the c4(benefits being an overdrive)
