I'd love to have a full size Jeep. I've always loved the big Cherokees and after seeing what they did with one on Trucks last year, I jump on one in a heartbeat if it was in good shape and I had the money. Maybe if my XJ gets toasted (heaven forbid) I'll look into one.

they are not real problematic a couple of quirks as all trucks have their own.Just like the earlier chevys its hard to find a clean one especially the frt fenders door locks and latches can be a little troublesome (not alot but some)worst one to run into 79 and prior Quadra Trac (full time 4x4) tcases are junk but only 79 and prior 80 and newer use dodge 727 and NP208 or NP229 tcases both are strong 208 is like chevys with a bolt on yoke 229 is a 208 with a fulltime 4x4 range

I have spair trannies everywhere,,,,,, But I would'nt worry about leaky unless the fluid is going right through it... They are fairly tuff..... Just, no quick gear change into reverse with the rpm's up....They don't like that....(Why I have spairs) My fullsize jeep is great, nice short wheelbase for an awful large truck.... The gas milage is incredible even when being cammed, dog leg heads ect..... Better then my chevy....
