Steve and i decided to got to Little White on Saturday, It was our 1st time out in the really deep snow and was awsome day with, sunshine, lots of snow, minor carnage, and major stuckage!!....I dont think i've ever shovled so much snow in my life...We also did our good deed for the day, on the way down about 1 km above the railbed some guys figured they would go wheelin, and ended up in the ditch, unfortunally the other jeep could only pull him up and down the ditch, not out, so we stopped and lent em a hand.....man they were happy to see us!!!!....Heres the pics

How hi did you make it up?

Hey andrew, sorry they didn't groom the road after they drove up it. Keep forgetting you guys sled up there. I guess 3 plus feet of snow would make that almost like a super highway going up there. Bet the tank traps would make serious good jumps.

THis snow has got to dissapear so they will be no more complaining from the snomobile comunity. In all honesty I do sympatise with them but we have needs as wheelers too. Not too many areas we can wheel with snow so sometimes you just have to suck it up. Atleast you have greystokes.

I would love to see a snowmobiler try that when I am around,he would lose his life and sled..I do understand thta it damages the trail but ,we stay of groomed trails so anything thats not groomed is free to anyone use at your own risk ! they must be shitty sleders cause i dont sled much and go up to winter camp sometimes andhave no problem with ruts just keep er pinned and hold on tight.pussies[16] [16] [16] [16]

I have to agree with Chris, it does chew up the trail, but we stay off groomed trails, and everything else is fair game, tell your friends if they want to go on groomed trails to go to greystoke or other "snowmobiling" areas where 4x4 don't or can't go. There's alot more areas accesable by sled that by truck, even if its the most crazy 4x4, so we all have to SHARE!![cheers]

First, cool pics! You need some tracks on those things!

Second, yah the trucks wreak havoc on the trails, but if it's not a groomed trail on a tenure (club maintained), we have no say in who can or can't go there. It's bad enough that the non-motorized recs are trying to keep us off anything not paved, let alone fighting amongst ourselves! If it's groomed, leave it for sledders (like they already stated). Otherwise, it's crown land and free for everybody to use, like it or not!

BTW, looks like snow-cat tracks on the road that you guys followed in, somebody doing cat skiing up there? Hope some company didn't get a tenure on another piece of crown land. Happening all over the place around here, places I've sledded all my life now have idiots trying to tell us we can't sled here or there. Just try to stop me! I have respect for the cat skiers and slow down/stop and wait for them to pass, but don't try to tell me I can't use crown land. [33]

lol. thats wicked. i know some peopel that are super choked about you guys going up there on the trails but they can go eat shit. i say, if you have the means and the ability to do somethign liek that, go ahead and do it. you 2 are prolly a handful of trucks in town that CAN do that. there is tons of trails for those sledders to use.

Thanks man, i dont like to feel bad about it, besides im a snowmobiler myself and have ridden in many 4x4 ruts, But i like to get out in the truck too!! when we went up the trail sunday it was alot easier i got out a few times and looked at my tracks, and all you could see was a tire print, absoutly no ruts, and it looked like a groomer hade gone up the trail ....we measured our tire prints and they were 24" wide[cheers]

The cat track only went up the road 2-3 km i think we went about 15 km, almost up to the big bumps

THe Little WHite area is not a maintained area and there is no snowcat ski operator workign up there. I do fee a bit sorry for the guys that wnet sleeding up there BUT........ we all have to share that area. THere ia ample amount of area going up the to miss the road and ride.

With the snow being as low as it is this year we as 4x4's are suffering from limited terain and the snowmobilers have more than normal terain to run on. I could understand the crying if they had made it all the way to the top since that would wreck any chance of a sled getting to the top. Like someone else said you can always go to the stoke to ride trail. And there is alot there. And rember that anythign not posted or groomed is fair game.

We stay off the groomed trails and you quit whining about up being on a road in the winter. Simple EH?
