I know Im just a girl with an opinion that doesnt count .... BUT, my old fullsize that I had a body lift in, I kept breaking body mounts.

cut the fenders. I had a 3" in my old 4runner and one of the lift blocks punched a hole right through my floor.

ON the 87 you can trim enough to get 35's on there with no lift so how big a tire do ya wanna put on?

I would say doing the trimming is better because then you get those larger tires on there without raising centre of gravity.

i ran the bushwacker cutouts....their big.....the only downside i had was wheeling in amongst trees.........the flare never cracked but it would rip all of or most of the mounting points out.............other than that they looked good......and they cover fairly wide wheel and tire combinations too........

cut 'em... it's cheap and effective.

If you really hate it...... fenders are cheap......
