ok im tired of driving my truck for a dd and i want something more reliable, so went and looked at a supra tonight. itss an 89 7mgte, took it for a drive and i love it, back end kicks out real easy[36] its got a new auto tranny 50k ago and a complete rebuild on the motor 100k ago, it is the 7mgte, new suspension, exhaust 2 1/4 i think, and intake, bunch of stereo shit, 2 12's, pretty cool gauges, 18's and new rubber, lowered 1.5", power everything and leather interior which has passed its time, price is 7g's but maybe lower, what do you think

red interior = gay.
ripped PASS SEAT?!
nice chrome glue on fender "flares"

nice rims, the 7mgte is a wild engine, cool older cars.

i'd chew him down on the interior though, it's pretty ghetto.

5000 max...

02-08-2006, 07:27 PM
[stupid]body looks clean, but the interior is pretty beat up for 7g's

7mgte would be fucking sweet though[36] you should put it in your truck. :D

also i would do some research on the auto tranny (check some supra forums etc). If its anything like the auto's toyota put in their trucks it sucks balls. Hold out for a 5spd so you can take full advantage of that 7mgte[36]

02-08-2006, 07:34 PM
Yea I would say thats way to much money I would pay 5000 max for one of those with a 5 spd and in better shape

2x4 to hold the hood open???

02-08-2006, 07:48 PM
nice cars that one looks a little rough and too pricey.gotta loose the eighties crome.

02-08-2006, 07:53 PM
nice man, i seen a 87 for 6 with 140k on it and standard with an exhaust, nice stereo with a 15.. check it out at the vw dealership in kelowna,... mervyn maybe? id get a standard myself

02-08-2006, 07:58 PM
check engine light on... thats a good sign

isn't that e brake light your looking at?

02-08-2006, 08:20 PM
holy crap, just checked the odo... didn't realize it had 336k on it. Even 5g is probably too much. Altho being an auto chances are the motor hasn't been abused too badly.

I wouldn't get it. Take your time and look around. There's tons of good deals out there if you're not in a rush to buy.

02-08-2006, 08:29 PM
 336k:eek:

run away!

02-08-2006, 08:31 PM
Fun cars but major coin to fix up thats why this guy most likely wants so much for his &g's is waaaaaay too much for it. Itis the nice motor it is loaded and is Targa so plenty cool but with that much mileage and tinkered with suspention to get it down it's gonna be expensive shortly down the road 4-5 g's is more likeit price wise

02-08-2006, 08:44 PM
cool [cheers]

02-08-2006, 09:00 PM
336 is like only on the body, and you know everything is rebuilt properly, and you know its history, thats worth alot its self

02-09-2006, 01:24 AM
do you know the guy personally who did the rebuild? any hack can rebuild a motor. Hell, I'm rebuilding the motor for my truck[wako]

I would ask for some reciepts to verify it. depending ont he quality of parts etc 100k is a lot to have on a rebuild.

Just something to think about...

02-09-2006, 06:32 AM
4500-5000 max[cheers]

02-09-2006, 06:50 AM
i say cut the engine and drop it into your toy and fuk the DD

Yeah, i work with the guy selling the car, all rebuilds were done at kelowna toyota and he has all receipts

02-09-2006, 09:33 AM
Thats why he wants so much coin was it a 3k rebuild

02-09-2006, 09:42 AM
336k, dude don't even bother. I am a turbo nut, and even if he offered it for 4K, I would still walk away. Its a deadly engine and the power of that thing sure makes you get giddy, but hold out for something else. TRUST ME!

02-09-2006, 11:00 AM
with the milage and the costs of replacing stuff later walk away those tires are not cheap to begin with and to get a wheel align on a lowered unit most tire shops charge by the hour so little thing will coin u to death after the purchase WALK AWAY lots of other units out there [cheers]

what are you talking about "little things"? cus it has a new motor, and they usually last well past the 300K mark, new tranny, new suspension, intake and exhaust, only little things i can see are interior shit. seemed like a wicked car to me

02-10-2006, 11:19 PM
if the motor last well over 300km then it is almost 1/3 worn out and for 7gs there should not be a 2x4 holding the hood open "just little things" [a]

02-11-2006, 10:29 AM
[f] you [stoned] offer him 3500 for the 2x4 and 100 for the car and do you know if the wood is treated [finger]

G-rizzle Swank
02-11-2006, 11:00 AM
the "wood" holding it up is because those gas shocks are beat, i think 6 g's is a good price for what has been donme to it.

02-14-2006, 11:58 AM
hmmmm i wouldnt pay more then 5grand for it......
my buddy has one with a custum engine and turbo ..... and that thing is fricken fast!!!

02-14-2006, 01:08 PM
I don't knwo what you decided, but I looked at a similar supra a little whiel ago only had 150 000 k and the guy was selling it for 4500. Thing had never been rebuilt. Just somethign to compare it too.

02-14-2006, 09:14 PM
id say 4500 or something

02-14-2006, 09:40 PM
yea they are supposed to be really expensive and break down a lot so im out, plits not worth going intodebt for.

02-15-2006, 12:02 PM
i like the hindu fender flares, did you buy them with ranjeet at cambodian tire[15]

02-15-2006, 12:20 PM
Its called boost! Pressurizes the whole vaccum system. Be careful, older shit tends to leak.

02-15-2006, 04:16 PM
i would buy it if i had the cash, i would say about 6 grand tho[36]

02-26-2006, 04:43 PM
supra's aren't all that reliable. as soon as you get it you'll want to start modding it to get it to go faster and that will make it less reliable.
