have a buddy taken his yota off the road to do some upgrading. wants to do his own ifs lift. prolly 2-4". he's running 35's now but might get more. has no body lift either, just gouged his fenders.

post up your booty fabs or comments, he's doing his own fabs also.

dont even bother with an ifs lift. i made that mistake and kick myself for it. just get a 1 or 2" body lift, a lot less work

[stupid]

not worth wasting money on the ifs. If hes already running 35s, why does he need more lift? If he just wants it to stop rubbing put a 2-3" body lift in.

does he want more ground clearance? or just enough room to stop gouging his fenders?

a buddy of mine is just finishing up his 4'' procomp ifs lift, and its a lot of work about 2 days for the front, and the rear springs are to short, so he has to get custom made springs [1]

glad mine has solid axle!!!

for the same price as a decent ifs lift, if there is such a thing, you can pick up a trail gear sas kit from taran? at big country customs.

I'm guessing he doesn't wheel it, Cause IFS won't hold up to 35's let alone anything bigger.

and ya, what they all said about SAS being not much more than a good IFS lift.

I've seen too many broken CV's.... it aint worth wheeling it with more than 33s.

i think its all how you drive , if you drive it like a knob it wont last , just like anything would brake if you drive the hell out of it ,i have run 35" boggers bam runs 35" boggers wickid willeys runs 37" mtr's all with ifs sure a sas is the way to go but you will brake that too if you dont know how to drive, and yes i weel it . ya good point, it depends how you drive it. But I found that with IFS I had fuckin giv'er to get anywhere. Altho I was just on 33s with an open rear... really should have welded 'er up, it would have made a big difference I bet.
