Make sure the Clutch has no air in it. You might have to bleed it also make sure you don't have a rear main seal going that will get oil on the clutch and make it slip[cheers] [cheers] [cheers]

might be "lot rot', slight rust on the flywheel from sitting for so long. like on brake rotors for example. possibly just needs to be driven and worn in again.
or check the fu-fu valve.. it might be stuck open

dean and sparky: i checkd those things.. and there fine..
always broke: i dont htink it has any air in it.. its just been sitting, no leaks in the tranny it was checkd over during the clutch installment.
Magoo: i have drivn it up and down the road a few times but its not gettin anybetter.. the clutch is grabbing right at the very top of pedal.
... im just gunna ignore the FU-FU valve, not fallin for that one..

if there was a problem in the hydrolic system you would have problem's disengaging the clutch, not slipping, does it shift fine?, the only thing it could be is sticky slave cylinder as far as that system gose, dose it slip just when you let the clutch out or all the time, at a slow speed load it up in 4th or 5th and put your foot into it, if it is still slipping you got a problem! how long ago did you do the clutch and did what did you replace, flywheel machined? preesure plate replaced?

shifts fine, slave was just replaced cause it leakd.. so i did the clutch aswell..it slips when i give it a lil gas.. i can drive and make it not slip but i can only barely press on the gas pedal.. i havnt tryd it out in 4th or 5th yet.. the clutch was done mid-end of aug, parkd to sit early oct.. as far as i no everything got replaced that has to do with the clutch and werkings.. it cost me 1500 so it better of got replaced[cheers]

If external slave maybe somehow the clutch fork or the throwout bearing is jamming and not releasing all the way.
If coincentric slave then maybe it is jamming and not releasing all the way.

Either way it is obviously not releasing all the way.
Just sitting should not have done this but ???????????????????.

Sounds definately like a warranty problem to me.

Good Luck [cheers]

hmm no i mean it probly will wear fast. id have to agree maybe a slave or something, are in the line not letting it fully engage

Did you check the clutch fluid resevior?
If you have the internal slave cylinder like my explorer has, when they leak, they leak onto the clutch disk causing it to slip. Just like my explorer is doing now

its not leaking ... its just slipping.. i barely have to tap the pedal b4 it starts to engage..
im going to just bring it into the shop and get them to fix it.. they put it in.. they can fix it..

must be the refurbulater valve in the master..............lift the front of the truck up about 6 feat 2 inches from the ground with a sky hook........hit the slave with a can of purple steam.....the drop the fokker..............:)
