View Full Version : Bumper

Hey, i recently was involved in an incident where i got stuck, and i didnt have a good place to pull from and it was dark, cold, and muddy so i just decided to have the truck pulled from the rear bumper. Seeing as the truck is an 89 F250 the bumper bent so now i need to build a new one. I didnt like the stock one to begin with so i didnt mind wrecking it. So if anyone out their has built their own bumper (rear) let me know of some things i should consider..like thickness of the steel and what not. I have built a few flat- decks in my day but ive never built a bumper. Just thought id see if anyone had any tipps. thanks

I always wanted to make front and rear bumpers for the bronco out of railway ties..cheap and could bash the sh&t out of almost anything and probably not hurt em..just mount tow point below and maybe bevel off the corners
