Hello, I am In need of some advice. I have a 76 bronco and want to do some mods.
It has a 302 np435 d20 and I am sick of shifting.(hard to hit 2nd in sand or mud)
I have a 351w/c6/np208 as option #1 or a 460/c6/205 as option #2 What do you guys think? Both combos I have in running junkers. I'd be using it on trails as well as mud and sand dunes.

A 460 will be a tight and a long combo for such a short wheel base vehicle.

your c6-208 should bolt on the 302
i believe 351w and 302 are the same bellhousing

a small block would fit a lot better and balance the weight of the truck better for trail use. a 460 would be cool but unless you are going with a sterling and a 60 it would just lead to many repairs. my 2 cents

Whats wrong with shifting np 435 is a great tranny But if you want auto go with the 351 c6 and then sell me the np435.
If I had a vagina it would be as big as a garbage can..

The 302 runs good but lacks power, I think the 351w would be a strong runner with a cam and haeders has anyone built a 351w?
I love the 435 for trails but in sand or mud I like to hit another gear and its not a quick shift.
