Can I weld the front end of my 90 Sidekick?

Does that make any sense?

Also. I am looking for a top for my ride. as my old one flew off after stave last sunday. Boo.. good thing no one was behind me.. it smashed all over dewdney... glass everywhere.

I guess I shook a mount loose..

you can weld what ever you wish, but my advice is
disconnect the + and - from batterie first..

trust me it has come to haunt me.. now its a ritual.

[cheers] bro

You have IFS in your sidekick. I wouldn't recommend it. Just lock up the rear. If you are losing so much traction that you need to lock up the front, I suggest better tires and a SAS with waggys.

you won't break the cv. it'll pop apart, and snap back together.

you will break the housing. the aluminum is weak ass.

as long as you have dual batteries it's ok to link them with the pitman arm in the driveshaft high steer gas return line link.

Thanks for all the advice. Yeah, I wont weld up the front, but the rear sounds like a go for this weekend. How will it stand up to driving on the road? I dont got a whole lot of grab under me right now, but thats gonna change soon. I found out last weekend my rocker "was" to clsoe to the ground. it's a good 4 inches high now ;)

Heh.

Put on a 3" Body lift and a 1.5" coil spacer and some 31's and you are good to go. Weld the rear will help alot, since trackicks are so light I with the welds would hold just fine.

If you put in a the whole front end of a 97 trackick they were made of steel and are LOT stronger, might be able to get a way with a LOCKER in the front. Wouldn'tweld it tho.
