You only really need a drop pitman if you're going 7"+. A modest 3"-4" lift won't require one. If you're looking for am inexpensive lift kit, check out Ebay. Do a search for 'Cherokee lif kit'. Most of them aren't exactly Rubicon Express quality, but they should do the trick. Mine lift is a fairly cheap 4.5" kit from Rough Country. It actually gave 6" of lift.

6 inches probly cause the origonal spring had settled 1 and a hlf inches

From the info that I've dug up, the stock height on a XJ from center of the wheel hum to bottom of the fender flare is 17". So a 4.5" should've netted 21.5" but mine sits at 23" in front and 23.25" in the back.

ok well can u order just springs for cherokees or do uhave to get the whole kit,? the whole 4'' suspenoon from nsor is 1000 but i was woundering if u could just buy new springs and throw those in and blocks in rear...
