Santa came early and my XJ has new Bigfoot XT's in 33x12.5x15.:)

This is the new Bigfoot XT from Big O. I like the new tread design much better than the old. Looks nice and beefy.

Now I just need to trim the fenders a bunch.:D

Nice tread design. Does it still have lots of sping like the old style though? I don't see any in the pics. IMO the siping on the old tire is what made them good. I ran a set of my old 4runner and they were awesome in the snow, ice, rain, etc

What did you do to the xj to get 33's under it?
Looks good!

To stuff the 33's was easy. The 4.5" Rough Country lift gave 6" of lift.:D In the back I installed a set of full leaf packs from NSOR. Combined with the shackles from the lift kit it gives 6.25" in the back. Only promblem I have right now is some rubbing on the back (bottom corners) of the front fenders. A trim and some cool new flares will fix that problem. (just need access to an air chisle/nibbler or something) And I still need to get some longer upper control arms to tweak the front pinion angle. There are some mild vibes.

I really don't know how the new XT's compare to the old ones. These don't give a bouncy ride, are very smooth on pavement and quiet. Thank god they don't sound like Super Swampers! I'm going to try them out in some goo sometime this weekend to see how they hook up.

For whatever reason the shop decided to 'dress the tires'. My reaction was "what the fuck?" [wako] I'll make sure it gets all worn off this weekend.

There is a t-case drop installed. The problem is the lift.:( When the front end goes up 6" the upper and lower control arms need to increase in length. The kit came with lower arms but not uppers. The uppers now need to be 1/4 to 1/2" longer than stock to rotate the pinion up a bit and eliminate the vibration. That's why I'll get adjustables. Alows for fine tuning and more length for any possible future increases in lift.
