View Full Version : Pleez help, new to site and a stepside owner.

Hey guys im new to this site as well as the 4X4 world. I have a 78' F-150 Stepside 4X4, and i cant find parts for the box at all (its rusted to hell on the steps) everything else i can handle fixing but if anyone knows where i can find parts (or a box for that matter) please help me.

Get a hold of place that sells repro body panels,second guess would be the wreckers.

the box on you're truck is the same from the late 50's to 79. hope thhat helps you with finding parts.
1980 and up stepside box's look awesome on those trucks too and they're easier to find.

i doubt you'll find reproduction parts, anything at the wreckers would be expensive if at all any good. If you want a good used one i would surf cali and arizona wreckers but expect shipping to be upwards of $400 but you wont have any rust.

i know where theirs a good tail gate and fenders for a 70s ford step side, but im not sure if he'll sell them back i traded them for a (strait)bronco tailgate

i got a box from a 81 f150 step side....50 bucks and u can have it.. u pull..

88 ranger with 7 inch lift and a 79 mustang on 44s

Man flat decks are pro, i was thingking about making one for mine, me and my old man built one for his 00 F350 and it looks good.
