does anybody know if thats a good idea to weld the rear to lock it up[?] does it change handleing at all,and how reliable is it

its awsome for the bush but wears tire on the street pretty harsh,depends who welds it for reliability.

I got a 78 F250 lincoln locked in the back, and it kicks-ass. A little scrubbin on corners but I've never busted an axle (dana 60).

toyota diffs in my jeep almost 2 years welded front and rear only broke a berf once pullin in reverse .never broke an axel YET scrubbin corners but i turn up the tunes to compensate ! lol,

i gots the front done.. werks great.. cept for brakin axels

96 f150 6 susp 2 body, 38'' tsls,custom stainless bumpers ,weld'd front, and a "lift it cause fat chicks" sticker on back window

Welding sucks. Harder to turn. Tires squeal on street. Horrible wear on tires. Onlygood if its a bush truck
