I'd put a slant 6 in the bronco before I'd put a sbc in it.

anyone know a 'race oriented' machinist?

I need a block sonic checked, and if it passes, the full meal deal.

Ya me Lordco Machine Shop in Mission the names Steve 6048264362 can take care of every thing. From the sonic testing to the torque plate honing.

I got fucked by Lordco in Langley in about 1990 on a set of camel heads (kurled the guides when they were supposed to replace them, real cool when you bring in all top $$ stuff like stainless valves and PITA to find castings. I had to eat a set of Darts to make amends to customer) and cannot bring myself to take anything to a Lordco machine shop.
thanks for the reply though.

looks like Richmond is the guy.

Mr Richmond is very proud of his work.
quoted about a Grand to prep the block with aftermarket caps and studs.

Evans and Lordco are both no good. If that offends somebody who works there, well so be it. I've personally had bad work come from Evans and know too many people who've had crap come out of both Evans and Lordco. Neither seem to have much pride in their work. Fraser Valley Engine and Machine seem to have a pretty decent rep, and I know High Performance in Bby is awesome.
