Are gears and diffs the same front and rear for dana 60's ?

i believe so....except for high pinion ...they are reverse cut

if it is a low pinion Dana 60 Yes! (ford dodge and chev used the low pinion depending on years)
If it is a high pinion dana 60 it will be different (Typically ford or custom)
things you will need to look at in so much as carriers is the spline count(common ones are 16,30,35 )

I picked up a d 60 posi whith 4.10's and was thinking if I was to build a big truck I could use the posi in the front. The only thing is I haven't been able to find a 60 for my kinda price being the cheep f$%& that I am. But if I get my hands on a 60 I'll build a big truck.

I hope your posi is 35-spline.... that's what all the GM D60 fronts are.
