I have a 89 bronco with a 302 on 33's and I was wonderin what the stock gears are
any recomendations on what gears I should get to turn those 33's better I do alot of
highway drivin soooo......what should i get

3.55 is stock...
i have a 95 150 on 33's with stock 3.55's, does fine on the highway.
3.73 or 4.10, no more. 4.10 would be steep

they would be 3.08 or 3.55
if its lackin there probly 3.08

id go with the 4.10... that was incase u increase tire size later on.. u still got the decent gears

I used to run 33's with a 350 and 4.10s. I don't like 3000rpm on the highway [16]

Depending which truck I get done first, will either be 3.21's with 33s or 4.10s with 39's

Are you building for mud or trails/rocks.

It don't much matter if you're going to be doing mud mostly but if you are serious about trails/rocks then 4:10 is minimum.

Your revs will go up a bit on the highway but you will have way better torque at the wheels for trails and a better crawl ratio.

well see I'm a newby for this sport and I love the trails and mud but I still freguently drive on the road I'm thinkin the 3.73....sounds better for what I'm gonna be doing

that is not really woth the money to go from 3.55-3.73 cause i dont think it will make a $600 difference

just leave it how it is... unles it totally sucks until you decide to go bigger, j roc has 354s and 33s and his does fine ( i think 354s)

The 354's work just fine , if you want to go with 410's you better have overdrive or ya ain't drivin on the highway a friend has 35's and 354's with a 351 in his and it just flys ( litterally ):D look for somebody that has some used 354's and swap them out (don't pay anything) also the 302's in those are known to get pretty gutless just before the timing chain gives up you should check for slack in the chain

in my truck i had 3.55 and 35"tires with an auto and i could bake the tires

go with the 410's itll leave u room to upgrade tire size, thats what i run on my '78 bronco with 37" tires. there great for offroad and still decent highway

ya with wut I have now ( stock ) not a chance I could even spin the tires on pavement even when I has bald 33's....so I donno

go with 4:10 s (for now).

It will bring your revs up a bit on the hiway but....so what.:D

It will be way better around town and when playin off road.

I've done it and so have many others.... it's ok.

Just a step in the right direction.

i would say leave it where it is for now, and when ya go 35's, go 4.10s
