I GOT A I6 WITH 38S RIGHT NOW, RUNNIN WITH 3.55S... IM LOOKIN INTO GETTIN DIFFERENT GEARS.. WUT ONES SHOULD I GET, EITHER:
A:4.10
B:4.56
C:4.88
D:5.14
ALSO I DO ALOT OF HIGHWAY DRIVN.. NOT TOO WORRIED BOUT ONLY BEING ABLE TO GO 120KM WUT WOULD U GUYS SAY IS THE STRONGEST YET BEST RATIO FOR TURNIN 38S WITH A LACK OF HP.

i got a 78 bronco with a 400 and 38's and a 9" and i have 4.56 gears in it, thats what the shop recomended

im probly gonna keep my 354s when i put my 40s on and use the granny gear since i dont use it right now

what transmission?
4.10 are perfect for hiway cruising with 39s and no overdrive
I had 4.88 with 39s for a decade and hiway sucked bad
so much nicer to be able to use the fast lane once in a while now that I am back with 4.10s

gear it for 70mph at 2200rpm (or whatever rpm you are comfortable listening too for hours) for a v8

i gots the shitty mazda tranny... i need the gears bad cause my motor jsut dont put out enuf HP.. ive used 5th gear in my truck a total of under 10 times in the last 6 months cause it jsut boggs out..if its not boggin down... its cause i have my foot at the floor, and thats jsut to keep momentum not build any..

i agree with the 4.88's if you keep a 5 spd in it but do you have a zf with the 5.75 first gear rebulon refurbulater and if so how much??

anything over 4.88 the pinion gets too small it will break easyer with tires that size.

yeah....zf...5.75:1 first...righton the id plate
i run 513's and 42's but i also have ;1 ton running gear...
the 5:13 pinion in the sterling is proly bigger than the 3 series pinion in the half ton stuff......

set gear ratio to get your desired cruise rpm at 70mph

Any leads on a ZF, there seems to be enough of us guys with the shitty mazda trans, So was that a yes on the ZF being able to bolt right in or does some shit need to be changed??
