good fucking luck to switch it to a four by your gona need to switch frames. un less you just solid axle swap it in that case a toy diff seems to fit nice in the front

Some people are like slinkies. They arn't good for mutch but they Still put a smile on your face when you push them down the stairs

Swap the ENTIRE rolling chassis or don't even start down this path.

Put in a solid axle up front and something to match for the rear. Consider a trans swap at the same time.... a stock type t-case won't bolt on without changing the trans output shaft, so maybe get a matched trans & t-case that hangs to the same side as the front axle you pick. Engine will need a a VSS signal also - make sure the t-case has this.

acually....its the 700r4 so to put a transfercase on it all you need to do is take off the output cone on the tranny and it will botl on to an np241.

but the frame widths and angles are different so goodluck

I'm not sure what steering you would use with toy diffs, but if you go with a D30 up front sprung under you can use stock YJ steering. Sprung over you can buy a steering kit from Aurora it's like $600... (i bought mine used for $300) problem is they have heim joints so the VI guy's will give you some hassle... but they ARE legal being they are "being used for there inteded purpose".
A D30 you can pick up for a case of beer, and run up to 33" with no problem, definetly would be ok for the 'wife' if she's not a big wheeler. I've been running my D30 for 3 years now with no problems, and mine is slightly abused :p
I picked up a spare t-case for $50, and a tranny for $100 (auto) so those things wouldn't be to hard to come across.
A great site on S10 SAS questions and information is the S-10 Extremist (www.s10extremist.org) lots of great guys on there two.

use the toy axles, thats what i have in mine. i used a set of crossover knucles and just made up a drag link from the steering box. also used a xj pitman arm to give it the drop. running a 700 with 208. fits nice and looks good . can post some pics if u want.
