Try Sports Trucks Unlimited they are in Langley just off of the bypass. How much you can do your self really depends on how much you know about installing a lift kit unless you know what you are doing I really would recomend paying someone to install it for you. A 3" lift kit should cost you around $650 and expect to pay someone at least $300 to install it for you.

Jeez guys. I didn't read any attitude at all! You must be pms'ing. I have a 3" lift in my '97. Got it used for about $200. Put the word out. Never know what you'll find.

No prob's Bratboy you just must have come over the wrong way (to me at least) If you are after a used lift try Gary's Jeep Breakers in Maple Ridge (just off of #7 past the Albany ferry) They usually have a selection offer cash this will get you a discount on the price that they quote you. As for the V8 a few people have done it I was going to but I think that I will get mine stroked instead.Jeep Thrills in Maple Ridge should be able to help you with any info that you might need.[cheers] Dave

one of the guys i work with is changing every thing from an 89 to his 86. its proving to be more hassle than anyting, going from 2.8 to 4.0. the tranny doenst bolt in, holes for crossmember are not in same place. rads are different. he had to change over the hole rad support and head light mounts. there is alot of shit that wasnt expected. so far its been a week in our fully equipped shop. as for a lift i think he has a 3 inch coming out of the 86 that he might trade for a set of stockers to move the 89. i'll check when i get back from whipsaw on monday.

I agree. Much easier and cheaper to replace it. I drive a '92 with a 3" lift on 30" BFG AT. Easy to work on, ok on fuel and goes where I want it to.
