i have 2 12" behind the seat, but i don't think you can get much more without good customization. have to have the seat almost all the way forwards :(

I cant remeber the make, could be JBL, but they make a thiner style sub so you dont need a box thats as deep. Suposedly the sound quality is just as good as a conventional style.

The alpine type Rs are good, but only get the Rs nothing lower in that line, the rest is shit. If you want something good, like these will pound, check out the " sound stream audio " shit. Its not the cheapest but if you got the money, well worth it.

ive seen guys make the box have a section fit under the seat as well. With high wattage subs you wana have enough air space. It may seem like alot but once youve taken into consideration the accual air space after the subs in the box and all is said and done there isnt all that much air space. The most important thing is that you use wood thick enough. Most guys dont build em strong and thell flex and they dont use sealent and thell leak. It will just ruin any chance a good sound. Use 5\8 thick mdf at least. If your going into a real high output system id double up the wood for the face. Then you can cut the outer hole for the sub slightly bigger so it fits in and mounts to the inner peice of wood having a smooth finnish and more protection for the sub
