Ive got an 89 F250 4x4 with a 302 and the piece of shit mazda transmission is going on it. I was just wondering what trans you guys would recomend i put into it. I dont realy care about keeping it a 5 speed all though it is nice to have when i drive to work on the freeway. I was considering a ZF but id like to hear your oppionion. Id like to get the strongest thing out there because im constantly hauling heavy loads and have planns for some bigg tires. Thanks

the nv4500 what is that eacatly, 5 speed, im having a memory block,is there anything you can tell me about it

well i just did some reading and it seems like it be exspensive to put a nv4500 in. Wouldnt i have to get some kind of bell housing adapter\spacer so it will mate up. ???????????????????????

i run th zf in the f 350.....42's etc....way better than mazda....and low first gear....

what do you guys think is a better trans, a T18 or T19, or a np435, i know the np has a lower first gear or at least thats what the web site said, any help would be much appriciated,thanks

435's are bullet proof but if you stick with the 5spd (switch to ZF) you probably won't have any driveline issues to deal with

have you considered goin to an automatic?

ya i fuiggred that if i didnt use the ZF wich has simillar dimensions to my mazda, then id just have to mess around with cross members and have new axles made and all that shit. As for the automatic I really dont want to go that route, i love driving standards and my other truck is a automatic. Thanks for the input, and help is much appriciated
