After searching for about 2 months, I finally bought an XJ. 1990, 4.0L, 5 speed, 4dr, body and paint are in really good shape, just a couple spots of minor surface rust on rear doors. The kicker is it has really high km. But for what I paid though, I can afford to rebuild the complete drivetrain if needed with the money left over that I had budgeted into purchasing one! It's already got a new gas tank, complete exhaust, winter tires, it's a one owner who had it maintained at the local Jeep/Chrysler dealer.

Looks like a solid body on that unit. Now the fun of building it up can begin!

YUP! Now to search for a 3-4" lift, and I'll build 1-2" front coil spacers and same drop shackles for back for a total of 4-5.5". Going to use the 31's off my truck for now until I buy gears for it.

Are there any places in Lower Mainland that will ship coils/leafs? Not much for choices around here to buy a decent set of lift springs.

Thanks Jeeper, I'll give him a call. Speedy is going to talk to Jeepnut about a lift as well.

Moondog, I should just get it over and run the most grown in trail I know, but I can't bring myself to do it just yet! Wait for the lift and tires first!

right on! Good base to start with. Make sure you post pics of the buildup.
