Does anyone know if a 96 Chevy K1500 will be driveable in front wheel drive in case of a broken rear driveshaft ?
4l60e tranny, NP243 transfer case and IFS

I think with thoughs trans the drive shaft slides into the trans so if you pull it the tail shaft will leak out your trans fluid.Could be wrong could be thinking of a different trans......just my 2 cents

If the rear is a slip yoke...just take a couple tims large coffee cups and lots of duct tape and it will get you home......good luck[f]
