JUST WUNDERING IF ANY ONE KNOWS A TRICK OR SOMETHING TO DISENGAGE MY TRANSFER CASE. MY FRONT DRIVE SHAFT WILL NOT SPIN FREELY AT ANY TIME NO MATTER WHAT I DO ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED [cheers]

Uh, sorry! No magic trick will solve that problem!

Have you tried locking the hubs, then pull it into 4hi, then try 2wd, what happens? Does it still leapfrog turning on dry roads? Try backing up a half mile or so, and see if it disengages. Other then that, pull the TC and disassemble! 205's were famous for hard to unlock from 4lo, had to back up a long ways at times to "unwind" the tension enough to pull it out of 4lo, but usually 208's are easy from 4hi and 4lo.

check your fluid level and make sure your running atf in the case. i put 80/90 in my first and after a while it was having problems dissengaging
