Not to sound like a moron....ok, too late, but...

I found the source of my nasty gas smell - one of my injectors is leaking - on the 4.0 (90 cherokee) can you just get new injector seals, o-rings, or do you have to replace the whole thing?

Any gotchas to watch out for? On my Audi, when you pull the injectors you have to watch out for an additional seal on the tip that tends to pop off and fall into the cylinder - I learned about this first hand - Who the F%^&*K came up with that design!?!

NOT SURE IF THEIRS THE SECOND SEAL BUT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET AN O RING AT ANY HARDWEAR STORE, JUST TAKE THE INJECTOR IN SO YOU GET THE RIGHT SIZE

Pretty easy to fix on a jeep.

A match and/or lighter usually works well.

actually, the smell is strong enough that it's the guy walking by with a lit cigarette that might fix the problem for me....

there are many different ford fuel injectors ranging from 14lbhr to 83lbhr i think even the 14lbers would be too big for a 4.0L

aside from that you can buy injector rebuild kits come with o-ring and the diffuser for cheap

trying to get where i want to be
