while underneath fixing the frame at the steering box I decided to remove the sway bar and see how it drives.

not sure, kinda weird.

what are your thoughts on a removed swaybar from a fullsize chev(jimmy)

Take it easy on the corners and you won't have any problems.
I like to haul the odd load with my truck, so the swaybar stays on... tried to haul a camper once without one and it was damn scary.

I wouldn't recomend it with IFS, but that's just my opinion. I have a solid axle plus heavy springs so the front end doesn't move much as is.
I found it to be a little crazier, not much, but enough for me to notice it. I now have to drive my truck, there is no relaxing behind the wheel, it is a constant effort to keep it steady. It doesn't pull so much as wander thanks to having 35x15.5x15 balding super swampers. the wandering plus lack of sway bar makes for an interesting ride to say the least.

sway bars are useless. especially stupid on ifs. design a system where each wheel travels independantly for a better ride. then you bolt it to the frame? doesn't make any sense. removing them is the cheapest way to improve your ride.

but that's just me. take em off, if you don't like it put them back on.

might be a little scary in the corners with the ifs and no sway bar

doesn`t have to be ifs to be scary.

ive got no front sway bar on my tj. it does take some getting used to. wanders a bit more, more body roll etc. i don't really notice it anymore though. you'll definately have to adjust your driving style a bit on the road.

My truck with a camper was never a problem without sway bars.
on my new truck i was really surprised to see them on the front and rear. I removed them and they now reside in my scrap metal pile:D

sway bars don't effect yout wandering all over the road. tires, alignment will have an effect. sway bars prevent body roll and a smooth ride. there already is a sway bar disconnect tool, it's called a cut-off wheel.
