OK people, I changed my flexplate on Sat. and fired the truck up and it makes a wierd niose that I don't think it made at postil. it sounds like a header leak but I can't seem to find it. Could it be something else like maybe something in the valvetrain[xx(] or anything else that would make a noise like that?I'm gonna head out today and have anyother look at it cause I was fucking tired when I was done so I never looked to hard at it. So any tips on what to look for?

[8D]Did a clutch in my chev once,put her back together and knock,knock,knock[wtf].Pulled the tranny again,everything looked good.My buddy comes by,has a listen,touches the distributor cap-fixed.I had bumped the cap against the firewall,rotor was hitting and it sounded awful,was I pissed:(
Can't remember the last time I was under a Ford hood but I think the distributor is up front?
For what it's worth.[cheers]

flexplate = auto......

could be alot o things

check your starter alignment Fords can be bad for it

or your exhaust flange shifted on the manifold when you had the block un supported in the back?

Thats pretty much what I did and it seemed to work:D The noise went away so I guess it's good to go. I was going to get Daryl to look at it so I started the truck and it was gone. Oh well another Ford mystery over with :D
