I seem to be going through the one on the rear diff too often (this'll be the third in about 3 years). Is there any stronger ones made for the Sammy by any particular manufacturer?

Will a traction bar help/prevent these problems?

Even if I don't have anything polite, intelligent, or even remotely on-topic to contribute, I try to post anyways.

Spicer or CTM make sure you grease them as often as possible

Sounds like your using precision joints. Spicer would be the way to go.

is it always the same end of the joint that is wearing out?? if it is the end that is held by the driveshaft usually ther is a vibraton/ wobble on the driveshaft or front joint that is causing the wear, and if it is the end that is held by the rear yoke then check the yoke for wear..I mean check the fit of the u-joint cups into the yoke, it should almost need to be (gently) tapped into the yoke but should not need to be hammered either..and use a spicer joint for sure

I prefer to think of us as a Drinking Club with 4x4 problems !!
