My draglink is 36" and its from a 77 f-150 I think unless Tom swaped it when doing my SAS. The ones I got from a 78 Bronco are 42".
Is mine the wrong one or are the f150's different than the bronco's?????
The guys from A-1Ford parts are telling mine is custom. But I don't think so.
Any ideas???

likely shortened, or the track bar and drag link wouldnt work together. whats wrong with your track bar? bend that? and if so, how the fawk did you manage that?

I am in the process of playing with my drag link also.
with the amount you bend and break stuff it might be an idea to invest in a high steer set up:D

with a high steer you will have to redo the track bar also(or else you will get bump steer), chromo might be the easiest(and it will never bend again, just keep extra TRE's)

I don't know what Tom has put in my truck but the Dia. of both the tie rod and the drag link is smaller than the ones that i picked up off the bronco's.
Maybey I can modify the bronco's ones to fit? But will the ends fit in the nuckles? Should, the D44 is out of a 77 f150.

I think your getting the track bar (holds the diff from shifting) and the draglink (goes from the steering box to the tierod) mixed up the Kris[cheers] But yes for a High steer you'll have to shorten the draglink unless you want to turn one way really sharp and not turn the other:D

Oh ya on my draglink I just used one end of a cut down 78 draglink and a stock tierod off a TTB and put a ajuster in it, so if anything is going to bend it's going to be the TTB tie rod and I know there easy to find and it's easy to change in a pinch[cheers]

if the drag link and track bar are not at the same angle you get binding, if one is longer than the other, you get bump steer(dont know how bad either will be, but i wouldnt want to have any of either if possible)
