View Full Version : Terrace Who?

Well, the trip that was all planned to go to Terrace was missing the one ingredient who tried to get this run happening in the first place! Dr B and Amber, we missed you!
Anyways, majority voted to do Blue Grouse and carry on back to Hayman Lake. I guess no one felt like 50+ K's of boring gravel logging road today, and I am so happy it turned out that way.
We had several new faces on the run today, and what a great mix of people it was!
Starting up the climb to Blue Grouse...

After enjoying the view and shooting the sh#t, we head off to Hayman Lake. On the way down, we drive by the swimming hole Dr B loved last weekend, and some of the boys wanted to try it out.

Obviously, JROC didn't read last weeks adventure at this hole, as he hydro-locked here and we spent some time drying him out. (side note to Magna-the mosquitos still outnumber us up there)

A quick trip up to our next turn off, we were sad when JROC encountered mechanical difficulties and had to head back with company. Next time for sure! You will love the rest of the trails!

This crossing of the creek proved that it is meant for narrow vehicles. Zuke capable, and surprisingly, a couple of Jeeps (Al, you made it[49]). Alas, the others had to take the bypass.

The mosquitos up here must have had quite the orgy, as the swarms of them make the skies black! All of us spraying and itching, Dan tells of a trail that winds around Hayman, up to another viewpoint and down to the trail we usually use. With all of us anxious to try the new trail, we would not be dissappointed..

I think all would agree that this trail was the highlight of the trip! A stop at Riley's was a perfect end to a perfect day! So glad to meet all the new faces, and to make happy memories with familiar faces. Can't wait for the next adventure...[cheers][cheers]

These pictures want to make me cry. So many new faces and same old great fun. I could have submerged my truck again then taken a dip. Anyway, awesome pictures and I hope to see all of you next weekend. On a side note, I am surprised my truck did not hydrolock considering how fast I hit into that hole. One the pic you could not even see my truck.
