If you must run IFS then ford TTB is by far the strongest.
Mine took a huge amount of punishment during the 2 years I ran it.
Eventually everything was worn out (20 years olds will do that) and at that time I decided to SAS it.
However a D44 TTB in good repair is just as strong as a D44 solid axle for most applications.
If you're gonna go 38 or bigger tires and pound on it a D60 is the only way to go.

I replaced my whole ttb once 'cause the used one(out of an '84 that had sat for a looooong time)had good ball joints, u joints etc and cost less than fixin the old one.

I ended up with a ttb that worked good again and spare axles and stuff.

If you are puttin in the lift just replace the whole ttb if ya got a good one. Less work and you will still have spare parts from the old one.
