it is 36.5 inches center to center on the spring perches(on the axle)
from inside the 3"spring to the other 3"spring should be 33.5. take into account the thicknes or your material (X2) and the and the tolerence of the fit on the hanger.
hope this helps

kyle, is it actually 36.5? center to center? when i did the solid axle on my old f150 i went 36.25 center to center when i built the front crossmember[32]

i dont imagine it would be different between an f250 and a 350, but i ran a dana 60 front

well the 60 (80s)is meant to be 36.5(or pretty close) and the straight axle i just put in my f250 on on sunday i did the same 36.5 on the perches and it lined right up. the locating pins are smaller then the stock spring pad holes so even if you did it touch smaller or larger on the spring pad width it would still fit(then you have to facter in wear and bushings etc).
Before dediding on just going with the 36.5 i had measured all three of my trucks as to center of where the spring sat in the hanger and depending on wear and abuse they were all different:D

here are some pretty good info and charts (spring pad centers etc)
