I have an opportunity to trade my Bronco for a same year F-150 xcab sb 4x4 with a 6 cyl both trucks need work but I am just wondering how the 150 is for wheeling any advice would be helpfull.[cheers]

f150 is longer, less turning, more undercarrage to get hung up on. on another note, the 300 I6 is probably the most reliable motor ever
its the same as your bronco except for longer

I agree with Kris, its definitely longer, which when you hit a big dip, you're more likely to get caught up...unlike the bucking short assed bronco [8D] (yes I'm a bronco owner/lover). And yeah of course, your turning radius is much better with a Bronco.

ya but an f150 has a box to throw all ur dirty crap in and the extended cab has room to throw all the clean crap in.
and the 300 6 standard is awsome ( from what i hear) i'd consder trading my 351 auto for one.

It is a fullsize and as for tossing the roof off I allready have a couple of times ....don't remind me how much fun that was!!!and it is a 6 seater just with a roof common guy's don't make this harder than it allready is!!![smack]
you can also through the top off fold the seat and BAM you have a truck box!!!![iagree]

Another good thing about the 300 is they work exceptionaly well when converted to propane. They run better and don't seem to loose any power on propane.

I have had 3 Broncos & about 13 F-250's with every engine ford has put out. Heres my opinion.
Propane & Fords don't mix, Chevs work way better of the funning gas.
300's suck, on propane with a 425 mixer. still no power
390 good power , poor gas milage 7-8 mpg
360 no power 7mpg
351M - 400M no power, 8-9mpg
351W good power not bad gas milage, 10-11mpg
351C good power average mpg (4 bbl heads)
429, good if you rev the hell out of them
460 lots of power on gas, 10mpg loaded or empty
A few years back had a '67 F-250 , 8' camper & 1 quad on a trailer with a 300, 5 speed. My dad had a '79 with 460, 8 1/2' camper, tandem trailer with 3 quads & a 14' alum boat. We went up north hunting , 600 miles. He made it 4 hours faster with a heavier load & burned $30 more gas

The 300 licks donkey balls with an auto. No power & plenty thristy - propane or gas. Better power with manual trans.
I don't agree on power with 360 vs. 351W (2v carb). The 360 will pull where the 351W falls flat on its face.
ill just stick to my 302 efi
I could drive what you drive, but i hate walkin!
spent $10,000 just to get your jeep as big as a stock bronco?
