my buddys t case output shaft bearings are pouched ,should he change them or swap in another t-case ..its a 1356 borg warner i beleive .Its out of a 95 ford f350.Also will a 205 bolt up without major mods (spline count?)and be a better alternative to the 1356.
any help would be great ........also looking for a t-case if anyone has one thx.
apparently fords all use the 31 spline input
I would do it but the driveshaft mods might deter others
I am trying to feel sorry for you but I just can't seem to do it.

The 205 front output shaft is too close to the tranny, if it's an auto. I wanted to but couldn't due to that slight problem.

In my experience the 1356 T case is a preaty good beefy unit it's chain drive but it's a huge chain they also came in broncos with the towing package thats what was in mine and in the 3/4 ton and I think one ton trucks I've had three broncos with this unit as well as two F250's and only one gave up the ghost after 300000 km towing trailers all it's life and when it did go the 4 lo still worked getting me home. I'd replace the bearings and seals and drop it back in.

just tryn to figure out if its weather to rebuild it or swap another in .If anyone has a line on a good t -case let me know .
