I noticed that i have a set of rubber bump stops on the front of my axle. [wtf] what the hell is there purpose and can i take the damn things off?? Also i noticed that i have a front sway bar and appearently i have quick disconnects, how in the hell do i tell if i do or not???
'94 YJ 4" Trailmaster suspension lift, 33x12.50R15 Dayton Timberline M/T, NV3500 transmission, and more to slowly add.

The bump stops are there to prevent your axle from bottoming out on your shocks or to keep your tires from hitting your body !
you can take them out but then you may find your blowing out the shock mounts -or your tires are rubbing your body !
So play with it to see how far up you can compress with the bump stops out and your shocks disconected -then determin the right shock that will allow enough compression and extension !

if they were quick connects there should be a pin in them
if there aint and it is bolted top and bottom maybe they are just longer then stock ones to compinsate for the lift
