the rear end in my sammy is making some funny sounds. it has stock gearing and a loc-right. Recently when coasting i can hear a ticking. i jacked it up today and if i spin one tire slowly the other doesnt engage and she ticks. should i be pulling my 3rd apart to have a closer look? think my lockers on its way out. i drained the oil and it wasnt too dirty, there wasnt any chunkies. Mind you the oil was a little on the metalic color side, maybe a bearing is on its way out. got any ideas guys? i dont wanna rip it apart if i dont have too, i dont have much free time anymore.[16]

the locker was installed when i bought the truck, Ive had this sammy for about a year now. (not daily driven). Im not sure what side gears where used. If it is on its last legs. What will happen when she goes?

if it was just the front output section, which it kinda sounds like, you can save the case.
then put the yotas under it.
