The exhaust is falling apart on my 89 sidekick, what y'all reccomend? I wanna make a bit more noise to drown out the lifters but I don't wanna spend a lot on it. What size pipe?...its the 1.6 8 valve...(insert giggle) automatic. Where the dual exhaust manifold comes down, do you add larger pipe starting there....and [:I] how?? I know it's a pain but a picture be cool.

Thanks!

no, I don't think so

I ran 2" last time thru a rice rocket muffler, very loud. But the 2" is the way to go, going to do the same to moms tracker when i get a chance. I splurged to get a thorley header when i did my exaust last time. But since you have the dual down tubes I woulnt really worry. As for a muffler any aftermarket muffler will work. I always wanted to hear a flowmaster on a kick. I have heard them on 4cyls and they sound great. Good thing is you wont burn it out or anything like that.

Just my thoughts and experinces.

Cool thanks, tuner, I will go 2" then, I got some kinda muffler here a buddy gave me, can see right thru it no restriction. [36] Any problems running the EFI, it should self adjust to this shouldn't it?....little and loud...alright

Yeah it will adjust itself no prob. I am bout to stuff my thorley header into the tracker next week with a 2 into a cheap oval muffler. I will let you know what I think of it.

I think so too! Next Late summer we hope to go the 6" lift kit. We aren't using the W4 2 1/2 ton much so we are figuring to sell it and buy Rob his own kick/tracker to run to work. He keeps taking mine and I am Trackless in lotus land!!!! lol
A friend is morfing his 2 dr Tracker into a mini PU with sliding rear window and he is using a S10 bumper for the rear. He says it pretty much bolts right on. He is our tire guy up here. The truck looks great!!! I will have to see if I can get a couple of Pics of it!

...alright, got a 2.5 inch pipe now, a cheapo round muffler, sounds way cool and not too annoyingly loud..heh heh...

Was hard bending the 2.5 pipe around the rear axle, glad I have a 2 inch body lift gave me a bit more room. Sounds good, it's a bit loud but not harsh, seems to have a little more poop too but that just might be me imaging that.[15]

Note to self...wear gloves
