Semi Flips In Westbank
A semi driver is lucky to be alive after flipping his fully-loaded rig in downtown Westbank.

The crash happened early Friday morning as the truck was rounding a curve approaching Gellatly Rd.

Police say the truck was rounding the curve when the driver lost control and flipped on its side before smashing into a utility pole. The driver's compartment was heavily damaged but the driver, said to be in his late 40's, walked away from the wreck.

The truck was loaded with household appliances and heavy-duty wiring. Most of the cargo ended up spilling down the side of a hill next to the highway.

Police suspect the truck's load might have shifted while rounding the curve -- causing it to overturn.

I remember back in '78, I was in Williams Lake (I know, I know[:I])...a semi with a reefer trailer hauling meat flipped and spilled an entire trailer load of frozen meat.

It was a free-for-all. The driver didn't care, the cops didn't care....the meat would've just thawed and spoiled anyway....so people were loading up their cars and trucks.[aahh]
Let the insurance do it's job:D

Our competitors f;i[[ed 2 mobile homes last year and it only took 3 hours for the scavenhers to clean out everything.

A[[;oances, sinks, toliets, furnaces etc all gone. Basically some roof and the floor.

One was lost on Hihway 97 about 6 Km`s from town here and the other just outside of Westwold towars Kamloops.

Had a load of beer go over in chilliwack awhile back... it rolled into a farmers field... the farmer filled up his loader's bucket 2 or three times......Why don't we get those more often??

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
If it's TTB.... trust me, it's broke!

Lord, grant me the patience to swap in my 460!!
