was on the rrorc website and they are constantly talking about c4,c5 trannies,dont really know much about them,was just wondering what vehicles they came in,what motors and t-cases will bolt to them and also if they are even any good,oh ya and are they stronger than a c6?

c4 c5 are small block transmissions and they came mostly in cars and a atlas transfer case will bolt up a C5 trans came in pinto's and C4's come in almost anything

C6 = Good
C4 = parked at side of trail.:D

I'm gonna do a Toploader swap in the not so distant future.

they were all saying that the c4,c5 is better than the c6 because the c6 eats up too much power

They may use more power but are way stronger, I'd rather loose a little power than bust my tranny.

well as for strength i dont know since i know that the guy that had the fastest mustang in the street class was running a c4 behind his 800hp 302 and he loved it.
the 84 bronco2 came with c5 behind a 2.8l and that is what im using in my bronco2 behind my 302 and i have changed the valve body with a c4 and the bell housings are changeable and i was running stock transfer case from the bronco 2 with no problems but every body has there own luck with things and i guess ive been lucky but the c6 is suppost to be a stronger tranny do to being used in heavier applications.
