I don't know about the Bronco's, but the 4Runners have:
- a swtich to make sure the wiper is off and in the resting position
- that the door is fully closed
- that a certain bolt is in tight that holds the top on
- also a switch to lock the window from going up & down (like a child saftey switch)

might give you some idea of what to look for.

It could also be that the motor is burned out since you say its getting power but not working. It might have only worked before because there was no weight on it. Try helping the window up/down with you hand and see if it works then?

Did you get all the gears & teeth to line up properly when you put the new glass in? Maybe something is binding

it goes up and down when i put power to it with a battery charger though, and it does seem that the motor is burnt out or somthing cause it does need assistance but like i said it just starting working one day and it was kinda slow but would go all the way up and down on its own

Yup... had this prob as well.....easier to explain in person.... where are you at???

Basically the switch that is there gets fu#$ed up on the inside and causes a large resistance ergo... window get stuck.... solution... wire in a heavy duty switch. If you're in or near mission.. I can show you how. I did it and it worked great... untill the truck got parked.http://community.the-underdogs.org/smiley/misc/crying.gif

hmmm well Im pretty sure im going to wire in my own switch, and yea it stoped working when it was raining, when i got it never woked from the switch in the dash only from the tailgate, and when it did work a little it was from the tailgate. Hyenuf, i have the same problem my bronco is parked and it really sucks!!!

It is a mechanical switch on the drivers side latch that does not allow the window to work unless the tailgate is in the fully closed and latched position.
If your body and/or tailgate gets twisted up a bit the switch might not even work when the tail gate is closed.
Sometimes I have to lean on mine a bit to get the safety switch to allow power to the window motor.
The windows go up and down at thier own speed.. sometimes slow and jerky and sometimes smooth and quick.
Depends on how the assy is sitting at the time in the usually worn out and rusty window tracks in the tailgate.
