I am thinking of pulling my inline6 and putting in a V8[36][36][36] What would be the best (or biggest[36][36][36][36]) engine that i could fit and what other bits would i have to change? i.e:- gear box (it's an auto) drive train etc?

small block is fairly easy and a big block cev can be done as well.

I did the chevy V-8, looking back at it, it would have been way easier to do a ford 302 swap. The radiator inlets and outlets will be on the right side, also ford uses the same side transfer case drops for the front end... ( driver's side diff)

87 YJ, 2.5" BL, SOA Dana 44's front and back, 8274 warn, 36" TSLs, 350 SBC/SM465/NP205, no lockers, and beat to shit, and my daily driver to boot.

Go big or go home is the old saying I would do at the least a decent built small block chev go for the 350 hp range and that should work very good for almost anything.
