Now that I got the spring over in, my Tcase lever vibrates really badly at about 20 to 25 MPH. Any idea whats wrong?

make sure if you seperated your rear driveshaft you put it back together with the dots lined up

U-joints could be fucked. Drive shaft angle could be out. Or as Mr. Dawg said above, make sure your drive shaft flanges are lined up [cheers]

I wouldn't really mind except that with my luck the travel speed on the spudspudspudspudspud Run will end up being between 20 and 25 MPH.

I think the vibrating tcase knob problem was solved by tightening the wheel nuts on the truck at the sasquatch in !

There are three ways to get something done:
1) Do it yourself.
2) Pay somebody to do it.
3) Forbid your kids to do it.

No Bruce it didn't solve it but at least I didn't have major carnage.

Oh, and thanks to Loud and his driver (sorry I don't know your name) for staying with me when the problems started.

There I was, making fun of the yellow Heep and my own junk almost breaks. How humiliating!

Mike,
Tnanks for the info. I would be definately be interested except that I have to do something about my gearing before I can go to any bigger tires. I am running 235/75R15's (29 inch) tires right now and I have to use low range & first gear on any hills as it is now.

How are the 6:1 t-case gears working out for you?

Steve the gear kit is actually 6.5 to 1 and it crawls at a low range of 121.7 to 1 ! We sell these kits at work and they will allow you to run your stock sammy 3.73 diff gears and 32 tires! Freeway speed will be stock with an underdrive in hi at 20% ! Dont need to change the diff gears !Other then putting in a locker of course![38]

Picked up a front and rear driveshaft on the weekend. I'm gonna try switching the rear one in and seeing if that solves the vibration thing. The only problem is that the rear shaft I got is seized in the slip yoke. I spryed a bunch of WD40 on it todAY; hopefully I can get the thing loose so I can use it. Any pointers or useful suggestions? Smart ass remarks are appreciated as well.
