Went up Kearsley road for a quick trip.
It has not seen full size vehicles for quite some time.
Once we got higher up the only evidence of vehicles was quad tracks.

Here's a few pics:D

Up the road and into the snow.

And a creek runs through it[:0]
Yes it is the old road but now kinda nasty and would make for a great challenge.[:0]

It just goes and goes and goes.
Quite steep and rocky in places.
There are turn around spots along the way for the faint of heart.

There were other old trails/roads to explore as well and there are also old skidder trails in the forest to play on.
We climbed up one of them that rejoins the main road agian but I was too busy trying to keep the engine running because of the extreme angles (damn carb'd engine) and winching out of a tight spot to take any pics.
Next time.

Right you are. It's challenging enough for the modified vehicles plus another trail for the Semi-modified's. A chainsaw and some pruning saws and away we go. And the great part is after your done you can still go down to the flats for bonfire and BBQ.

[7]After the spudspudspudspudspud Run we should organize the "KEARSLEY KREEK KRAWL"

Plus Jim and I still haven't shown any of you "HAMBERGER HILL" and
"LITTLE HAMBERGER" yet....also in Maple ridge area.[36]

It is on the way to the mud flats at about 6km in.

It is kearsley, I have a big mission forest district map of the area with all the roads, creeks etc labeled.

Yes there is a key.:D

Jim ; Yesterday we hiked past the lookout spot on STave lake and followed the road in aways ; looks like its a fairly new one possibly for logging ,does your map show it and does it continue on for a ways ,curious if it goes up by Glacier bay or is that further up ?
