The Bronco I am looking at buying has a crunching sound when hubs locked and 4wd engaged. I was told that it is probably the u-joints any thoughts? also It looks like someone put lift blocks on the rear or is that stock? they are about 4 inches high.[?]

kinda sounds like a u-joint or bearing problem?, my f250 came with a block in the back.

get them to fix the problem before you buy it[16]

See that is where it gets difficult the price is very cheap under $2000 and wondering if it is worth it to buy and fix?

check it out becuase it could cost you more to fix it then the truck is worth...if it is minor then it could be worth it[cheers]

Does it have automatic or manual hubs. Sometimes the auto hubs can have problems. and make wierd grinding/poping/crunching noises
