View Full Version : 2.9L oil Pressure?

My Ranger is actually running good, but the oil pressure is prob around 10 psi, should I worry bout it?
I got nowhere to go and I got all day to get there!!!!!!

no,as long as its full of oil its okay!

[1d] if you hear a whining sound(like a waterpump bearing) and it shows no oil pressure, its probably safe to turn the truck off

this one has been discussed to death here-it's a 2.9 thing,they always have low oil pressure.check other threads on this topic,or go to the ranger station web site and check discussions there.i have never seen a 2.9 that showed high oil pressure,i have also never had a 2.9 die from lack of oiling.i have killed lots by filling them up with stave mud,though.thats why i run a 460,they dont seem to care about that sort of stuff.
