View Full Version : which carb is better?

I have a pre 88.5 samurai carb and a post 88.5 carb and they seem very different i was wondering does one preform any better than the other? someone with expirience plz help me to decide which one i should use [27]

use a pony carb and rear leaf springs and for the 2 best set up's

86 toy,33's,22re,bored .030,rv cam and NO RUST

use a nissan mukini, don't fuck up on steep climbs

loved the pony carb on mine-cheap and easy to find,and it worked perfect.even ran ok upside down a few times.

The post 88.5 is a feedback carb system. Works well when it's tuned properly, but is a bitch if not. They can also be hard to get tuned properly at times. I know Reo @ No Limit can get it running as good as it will ;)

The pre 88.5 is way simpler to run and set-up, but I think it uses a whole different intake [?] Not 100% sure though.

I would reccomend fuel injection, but if that's not in the cards, go with the pony carb [3]

it will but i would suggest while you are passing aircare you have your hand out the window with your middle finger up.
