Finally managed to get out, probably last time before sledding season is here! Went up Canex road and found a nice old trail leading into the Lost Ck drainage. Found a couple more old adits and played in some snow.

We parked the quads about 500' inside the Canex mine, then walked in for a bit.

Hard to read, but this sign says "Safety is YOUR business" and was nailed to a bunch of old cracking timbers shoring up the ceiling!

This looks like it used to be a vertical shaft entrance to the old mine before it was trenched.

That's my buddies 700. He's only had it a few months, but is already going to trade it in on the 750! You can never have enough power!

Many, many years ago, me an some friends went 4xing for the day and ended up camping out overnight at that microwave tower ----maybe that explains why none of us guys have ever fathered children --LOL!

We've seen lots of tracks, but not much moving around. They only move just before sunrise, and just after sunset, it's rare to see anything moving during the day. Been a slow year for bears too, usually I would see at least 1 every trip, this year I've only seen a couple.

Fuzzydog, you must have gone up the access road off of Highway3. I've been up there years ago with my Dad, road looks really steep cause it takes off where the highway is at a 10% grade, and is built into a vertical cliff!
